Reactions to the Engagement

It has been fun telling people and getting their reactions!!
The most explosive reaction was Jennifer, who seriously was so excited
she was screaming and yelling. That was really fun!
A few ladies at work screamed.
Kristin was so happy and expressed it in her cute southern voice!
Megan didn't react because she sort of found out through being in the
cubicle next door when I told someone else...and then just didn't say
anything about it all day...but I wasn't going to bring it up again
(especially since her engagement got broken off late last year)...but
she did meet with some of her catechists later, and just before I
joined the meeting she told them and they clapped when I came in.
Terry hugged me and got all teary-eyed...which was surprising.
Fr. Ed laughed and said, "You two were the last two to know!" (I think
implying that everyone knew we would get engaged...we just needed to
do it). He is very happy for us and said that he'll do whatever it
takes to make it to the wedding.
Gramma said "mazel-tov"!
And of course, the rest of the family (both sides--Michael's and mine)
have all been very happy and supportive.

It is most wonderful seeing all the people sharing their support and
love for the engagement of you two.  It is going to be a glorious
adventure.  I am so honored to be able to be a part of this grand
coming together of families. We are totally there for you, Mom

Ha Ha... you're welcome. But I just realized I think I got that wrong.
That's Mr. Gilmore, not Mrs. Gilmore...I think. :)

Well, I haven't gotten a chance to let you know, Kim, but I am very
happy and excited for you and Michael! It's going to be fun to have
you as a sister-in-law.  :-)  Congratulations!!!!!  I like this little
blog too!  It's a neat way for all of us to see the progress of your
wedding plans.  Kudos on the that.  ;-)
