No Girls Allowed

A few weeks ago, I noticed Baby Michael discovered a new favorite hang out: underneath his bed.

He would go under there and lay down, maybe take a toy with him (or a tag, piece of paper, or some other random item) and lay there for the longest time, kicking his feet, talking to his item of choice. I would lay down near him and talk to him, but by and large, he seemed content just to do this activity all alone. He had his little clubhouse and he was happy.

So when I ordered some items that came in a very large box, I got a great idea: cut a whole in it and make a little fort for him.

(I didn't realize how cutting a hole i cardboard with scissors is not an easy task!)

But when it was done, I let him at it:

He enjoyed it for a little bit.

Layed around.....

Hit the sides.....

checked the structural integrity.....

But then he noticed something else of interest.

My camera.

And the fort was remembered no more!

That's so cool that Michael created his own clubhouse under his bed. The way he brings items under there and talks to them sounds adorable.

I love the last picture in this post -- something about the lighting and the angles -- it's gorgeous!

So cool! That's awesome! I'm amazed he's all grown up enough to eat steak quesadillas and have clubhouses! Such a cutie!

Soooo handsome!!!
It is very cool that Michael(I believe most kids) enjoys his little hiddie holes. I can see the sign now, "no girls allowed" on his fort or secret place.
Most precious!

I can't believe he is at an age where he can enjoy stuff like that!

I like how he checks the structual integrity. LOL

Great post!
