First Mass!
Today was our first adventure as a family of five. Of course, having my mom with us gave us a great safety cushion in case there was a problem. But fortunately, everyone was on their best behavior. The boys asked a few times for me to put Molly in her car seat instead of holding her, but they settled for piling on my lap next to her.
Molly slept for almost the whole Mass and despite having a very noisy explosive diaper, managed to time it while music was playing, sparing her from tarnishing her lady-like image.
The boys got donuts, and we were greeted by many well-wishes from other parishioners congratulating us on our new addition.
It was a great experience, and we know not all Masses will go this smoothly for us, at least we've got one "win" under our belt!

My Boys
I love my boys and their antics.
Matthew loves to run around with his shirt on his head announcing to everyone, "I have a funny hat, Mommy! I have a funny hat, Grammy!"
He'll dance and jump around the apartment, "I'm nakies!!" Streaking from room to room hoping someone tries to catch him.
Also, he likes to sit in Molly's car seat and rock back and forth.
Michael also likes to put his shirt on his head, but I'm suspecting it's primarily because Matthew makes it look like so much fun.
Michael's steadfast form of entertainment is playing the Airwolf theme song on the stereo and walking around in circles spinning the blades of a helicopter...over and over and over and over again. Seriously, he just gets lost in his own little world doing this. He would do it for several hours a day if I let him and if there is any down time or lull in the activities, Michael will not waste anytime asking, "Can you please put on the Airwolf song." He has even learned how to go to the Youtube button on my phone, click on "Search" and type in the word "Airwolf" in the search box. I think I can get this kid to learn anything if I somehow connect it to a helicopter.
It's hard to believe that it was only two and three years ago that these boys were the newborns. These boys were these little grubs who all they could do was eat and sleep. And now, look how full of personality they each are with their sense of humor, their unique likes and dislikes, their way of relating to the world. It's so exciting to see who Molly will become in just a short while and how these boys will continue to grow and develop!

Molly in the Middle
Molly is learning to live life in the midst of all the joy that two little boys entails. I know things will change as she gets older and becomes more sensitive to noise, but for now, Molly sleeps whenever and wherever she can and no one is told to "keep it down" or "be quiet" on her account.
In fact, while Matthew is sleeping our room during his naps (we definitely wanted to take care not to make him feel displaced), and since Michael still takes quiet playtime in his room each day, Molly sleeps in her portable bed....on the table....while little boys dance around the room with helicopters....and isn't bothered a bit!
